Overview
Shakespeare® 4242-MK3 is the most advanced vertically polarized, center-fed VHF tactical vehicle antenna in Shakespeare’s 4242-MK Series. Engineered for reliable military communications, this high-performance antenna operates across the 30–108 MHz frequency range and supports up to 70 W continuous RF power. Designed for personnel carriers, tanks, shelters, and other tactical vehicles, this antenna maintains instantaneous bandwidth coverage with a VSWR of 3.5:1 over the entire frequency spectrum. The unique design of the 4242-MK Series meets the specifications for frequency-agile radios and is compatible fixed-frequency transceivers. This passive antenna does not require tuning, band switching, a motor drive, a cable harness, or a DC voltage source to the antenna, simply connect 50-ohm coax cable between the transceiver and the antenna.
